Jamaica Calls on West

051208_PeopleTravel agents got a chance to experience a bit of Jamaican hospitality recently as the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) held several Destination Product Launch and Seminar Series showcase events throughout California and Arizona. The roadshow featured Jamaican cuisine and live music, a trade show and product updates from the JTB and island suppliers.

Mark Travel Promotes Two Top Executives

Recently, La Macchia Enterprises, the holding company for The Mark Travel Corporation, promoted Ray Snisky to executive vice president of La Macchia, and Mike Going to president of Funjet Vacations. Former president of Funjet Vacations, Snisky will lead a newly created team for La Macchia, domestically and internationally. Going, chief marketing officer for Funjet since 2006, will take over Snisky’s seat as president, where he will continue to expand Funjet into new markets aligned with the brand’s business strategy. 



Fischbein Appointed Contiki President

Contiki Vacations, USA, the world leader in vacation packages exclusively for 18- to 35-year-olds, chose Greg Fischbein to lead as president of the company. Fischbein brings youth marketing knowledge from previous jobs with American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Vans and Bigwords to Contiki.

“I look forward to leading our talented and dedicated team forward, continuing to implement our proven philosophy of creating great value, safe and hassle-free holidays, with the perfect blend of sightseeing, socializing, culture and free time,” Fischbein said.
