Canyon Equity LLC, owner of Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort, Fiji, recently appointed Mark Slimmer as the resort’s new general manager.

Slimmer spent his childhood in Fiji and brings 30 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. He most recently served as general manager of Angsana Great Barrier Reef, a five-star beachfront boutique resort in Palm Cove, Australia, and, before that, he served as the general manager of Matson Resort Cairns, a large resort in Cairns, Australia. In his new position, Slimmer will develop the property's sustainability practices and maintain the standards of the resort, with an attention to personalized service.
