Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, located in Nassau, the Bahamas, hosted the Travel Professionals of Color (TPOC) for its 2010 Conference and Trade Show last month. The TPOC is an organization that promotes training, networking and support of minority travel professionals.
“We were very pleased that the Travel Professionals of Color chose the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort as their host,” said Andrew Neubauer, director of sales and marketing for Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort. “We organized a welcome lunch and reception for the 200 attendees, hosted discussion panels with prominent travel and government officials and concluded the conference with a gala event in our magnificent ballroom.”
During the 8th annual conference, attendees were able to network with hundreds of minority travel specialists and attend various workshops and forums on subjects such as social media sites and heritage tourism. After the conference, agents were invited on optional day fams to Harbor Island, Grand Bahama Island and Exuma.
