Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is using technology to improve guests’ experiences at the company’s properties. The enhancements are being developed as the brand experiences a growing demand for luxury travel in China, Brazil and Russia.
“We are delighted to see more travelers in emerging markets such as China showing interest in luxury travel,” said Paul Kerr, chief executive officer, SLH. “In addition, tech gurus hyped 2012 as the year of the mobile boom, and our latest figures certainly highlight this growing trend.”
The SLH website has launched a mobile booking function so that users can book a hotel while on the go, and the latest version of the SLH app (released in February) includes an accommodation search by destination, hotel type or keyword. Other key features of the app include a booking engine, special offers and information on every hotel and its surrounding area. Another upcoming development will be the creation of a dedicated Chinese website, scheduled to go live in March. www.slh.com
