The Palm Springs Desert Resort Communities Convention and Visitors Authority (CVA) has announced changes to its organizational structure for 2010.The restructure separates previously combined sectors into individual departments (Travel Industry Sales and Membership) and includes the creation of a new department: Marketing and Communications.
Ashley Ciora has joined the CVA staff as director of travel industry sales. Ciora will oversee staff and daily operations of the CVA’s domestic and international tourism efforts.
Led by Ciora, the Travel Industry Sales department will include Kevin Rice, senior travel industry sales manager; Joyce Kiehl, travel industry sales coordinator; and Lori Gomer, executive assistant.
The CVA Membership Department will be lead by Jonny Westom, director of membership. Westom’s staff will include Katrina Lambert, who has been promoted to senior membership sales manager; Johnny Coladonato, membership sales manager; Winona McCullum, database systems manager; and Susan Esterling, membership events coordinator.
Overseeing the CVA’s newly formed Marketing and Communications Department will be Mark Graves, executive director, marketing and communications. Graves, who continues to manage daily media and public relations duties for the CVA, will oversee a staff comprised of Jim LaBay, director of graphic communications; Liz Poole, director of internet marketing; and Jessica Stephens, marketing and promotions manager.
