The San Francisco Travel Association (SFTA) has named Howard Pickett its new executive vice president and chief marketing officer. In his new role, Pickett will be responsible for marketing San Francisco as a world-class leisure and convention destination. Pickett will focus especially on increasing the number of overnight visitors in the city’s hotels.
“Howard is a proven leader in branding, advertising, social media, direct marketing and more,” said Joe D’Alessandro, SFTA president and CEO. “He can take the marketing of San Francisco in new and exciting directions.”
