Plaza Travel, a travel agency based in Encino, Calif., recently participated in a 5K walk/run marathon for Northridge Hospital’s Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS). The event took place at Lake Balboa Park in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley. The agency raised $495 for CATS, a 24/7 immediate response program for victims of sexual abuse and assault.
The Plaza Travel team consisted of 15 people, including Plaza Travel employees and their friends and family members.
“We gave it our best,” said Sandra Sparks, a travel consultant for Plaza Travel. “The race was to help break the silence and stop the sexual assault of all ages.”
