Last month, the Singapore Tourism Board celebrated the Lunar New Year and announced the launch of its newest initiative, the Singapore International Culinary Exchange (SPICE), with more than 50 industry and media partners and a Chinese banquet-style luncheon at WP24, the signature restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles. The multicourse meal was prepared by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck of WP24 and by Singaporean chef Mohan Ismail of RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen in Los Angeles. The SPICE initiative is targeted toward establishing Singapore as a culinary travel destination through a worldwide pop-up restaurant program, Singapore Takeout, and a Global Chef Exchange program.
