Success at Signature’s Sales Meeting

The 2011 Signature Sales Meeting and Trade Show — held last month at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas — welcomed a record 2,000 attendees as well as more than 700 supplier partners from 52 countries. Exhibitors included hotels, cruise lines, tourist offices, tour operators, airlines and more.

During the event, the travel cooperative shared a number of announcements and initiatives for the coming year, including a new interactive online publication, The Travel Experience, available for clients on iPads and other tablets as well as through the Web. This interactive publication features integrated video, photo galleries, quick facts and more.

Signature will also enhance its professional development programs for front-line travel consultants. In addition to a revamped Signature University online training tool, a new series of “bootcamp” regional trainings will be offered in 10 cities, coast to coast, during May and June 2012. These sessions will include hard-hitting interactive workshops focused on Signature’s technology tools including Pocket Travel Consultant, myTravelSite and many other one-to-one client communication tools.

In addition, Signature plans to expand its hotel portfolio next year with more than 90 new hotels and resorts in destinations such as Fiji, Thailand, the Caribbean, Australia, South Africa, Argentina and throughout the U.S. www.signaturetravelnetwork.com
