Taiwan won Best of Show for audience participation at this year’s Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show on Feb. 8 and 9 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif.
The Taiwan Pavilion was themed according to the Taiwan Lantern Festival, and the Taiwan Tourist Bureau transported sky lanterns from Taiwan to decorate the space. It also hosted a variety of activities, including traditional dancing and popular games from Taiwanese night markets.
“The annual Taiwan Lantern Festival is one of the most anticipated traditional festivals in Taiwan,” said Mr. Trust Lin, the director of Taiwan Tourism Bureau in the Los Angeles office. “The Bureau also emphasizes that now is the best time to visit Taiwan by offering special inducements such as weekly promotional events, daily special offers and highlights from all over the island.”
