African Travel Inc. recently hosted a memorable fam trip through South Africa that included a combination of sightseeing at Cape Town’s main attractions, dinners and lunches at different venues and a two-night safari. The trip’s safari adventure featured all of the Big Five: a leopard, a buffalo, a lion, a rhinoceros and an elephant. In Cape Town, travel agents visited the iconic Table Mountain and Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent many of his years in isolation. Mandela and Desmond Tutu’s hometown Soweto as well as the city where most of the world’s gold is mined, Johannesburg, were also included stops.
“African Travel Inc.’s mega fam can be called a mega success based on feedback from the properties visited and the agents that this was by far the best fam trip they had ever been on in terms of what they saw and what they learned,” said Jim Holden, president of African Travel, Inc. “They will now be able to promote and sell South Africa like pros.”
