The Curtis – a Doubletree Hotel Names New Director of Sales and Marketing

Coming from an extensive background in the hotel industry, JoAnn Elston has been appointed director of sales and marketing for The Curtis - a Doubletree Hotel, located in downtown Denver, Colorado. Elston previously held a position as senior travel industry sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, in Florida. She has more than 18 years of experience in the hotel industry, having worked as director of sales at The Paramount Hotel in New York; the Wyndham Bristol Hotel in Washington, D.C.; the Wyndham Dublin Hotel in Dublin, Ohio; and the Wyndham Garden Hotel, Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. She also previously held sales positions at the Wyndham Metrocenter Hotel in Phoenix and the Wyndham Copley Plaza in Boston.

Elston recieved the President’s Award at Wyndham Hotels for maintaining a RevPAR penetration of 100 percent or greater and achieved the Presidents Circle level with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for exceeding annual sales goals.
