Troy Glennon, a Latin America travel expert for Austin-Lehman Adventures, has been recognized in Condé Nast Traveler’s 13th Annual Top Travel Specialists list for 2012.
“What a pleasure to have Troy on our team and to share this exciting time with him,” said Dan Austin, founding director.
As its Latin American expert since last summer when his company, Go South Adventures was acquired by ALA, Glennon has enhanced the company’s program development team as well as supported the sales team. Glennon’s experience guiding travelers through the region and developing sustainable tourism experiences spans more than a decade.
“The Lost City of Machu Picchu is of course a must when visiting Peru. It has a mystery and air about it that captures everyone’s imagination. However, knowing how to avoid the tourist crush will have a big impact on your experience,” Glennon said.
In future ALA itineraries to Peru, Glennon hopes to add stops to less-visited regions of southern and eastern Peru with visits to Colca Canyon.
