United plans to launch flights from San Francisco to Ho Chi Minh
City via Hong Kong on Dec. 9, marking the first scheduled service
to Vietnam by a U.S. carrier in nearly three decades.
The startup still requires the completion of the application
process in Vietnam, the airline said.
