Portland-based Ya’lla Tours was approved by the U.S. Treasury
Department to offer escorted tours to Cuba.
The granting of the license means the tour operator can sell to
specific entities, such as church groups, teachers, journalists,
humanitarian organizations, researchers, athletes and professionals
attending meetings.
The firm is the only U.S. tour operator licensed to sell Cuba
trips from America to sanctioned groups. Charter flights will
depart from Los Angeles, Miami and New York to Havana. Land rates
will be inclusive, according to Ya’lla President Ronen Paldi, who
booked his first group last week.
