Next year, Avalon Waterways is offering new itineraries in China and in Europe, with savings for clients when they book before Oct. 13.
Among its new China itineraries, Avalon Waterways is offering a 12-day Magical China & the Yangtze River tour, priced from $2,799 per person, and a 17-day Fascinating China & Mongolia with Yangtze River Cruise tour, priced from $5,389 per person. Both rates include land tours, the cruise and intra-tour flights only.
Globus Family of Brands, the parent company of Avalon Waterways, is also providing travelers with a $400 discount per couple on the air-inclusive price of select 2010 Asia & South Pacific vacations when booked before Oct. 13. In recent years, the company has seen travel to Asia and the South Pacific increasing with travelers’ growing interest in exotic travel. Choices include China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tibet, Mongolia and Vietnam.
“We are not only revealing new itineraries in Asia, but our vacation styles to exotic locations worldwide have increased,” said Scott Nisbet, Globus president and CEO. “We’re giving travelers a plethora of tours, river cruises and independent vacation packages to choose from.”
Avalon Waterways is also giving river cruisers a chance to experience the 400-year-old tradition of the Oberammergau Passion Play, which is enacted only once every 10 years. For 2010, the Globus Family of Brands has unveiled nearly 40 tour and river cruise itineraries featuring Oberammergau, in the tradition of the company’s long standing faith-based travel program. Prices for Oberammergau vacations start at $2,209 per person, down an average of 15 percent in the last six months, and clients who book before Oct. 13 will receive a $100 discount.
Avalon Waterways is also offering four-night cruise extension packages, available weekly from May 19 to Sept. 29, 2010, with the following river cruise itineraries starting at $1,834 per person, land only:
