Viking Creates Co-branded Web Sites

Viking River Cruises has launched a new co-branded Web site program that provides agents with access to current Viking information under the agent name, contact information and logo.

“The co-branded Web sites are the electronic counterpart to our inkjet program, whereby we print travel agent contact information on all direct-mail pieces,” said Michele Saegesser, vice president, North America/So. Pacific Sales at Viking River Cruises. “The idea is to get clients the details they need without changing the relationship with their trusted travel agents.”

Travel agents who have not already done so can access Viking’s Travel Agent Portal at VikingRiverCruises.com/Agents. Once registered, they can select the “Manage Co-Branded Site” option from the My Account menu. The site also offers information on commissions, fams, group policies, training Webinars, marketing materials and district sales manager contacts, in addition to the river cruise details, dates and prices found on the company’s consumer Web site.

Viking’s commission structure starts at 12 percent on cruise and land vacations, 5 percent on full-price airfare, 10 percent on the Travel Protection Plan and 12 percent on land extensions.
