Madame Tussauds will become part of the Hollywood CityPass on Aug. 1. |
Agents don’t have to be confined by just one tour operator’s customizable FIT tour products. After all, these vacations are supposed to be flexible and tailor made to suit a particular client, which is why companies such as CityPass can be a very smart resource for both the client and agent.
Now offering a commission program for travel agents, CityPass sells ticket books which allow clients access to the most popular museums and attractions found in major North American cities — including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Chicago’s Field Museum & Underground Adventure and New York’s Guggenheim Museum, to name a few.
Typically, a booklet will offer about a 50 percent savings in total, and ticket holders won’t have to waste time waiting in individual ticket lines. The booklets also contain a map of the city with public transportation coordinates and insider’s tips on when to visit certain attractions.
On CityPass.com, agents with an IATA number can purchase the ticket booklets at a 10 percent discount (booklets range from approximately $34 to $74) and, presently, fully commissionable CityPass booklets are available for Toronto, Hollywood, Atlanta, Canada, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Hollywood, Atlanta, Boston and New York. In addition, the Web site features downloadable maps and brochures that agents can use as selling tools.
“I still think Chicago is the hottest ticket these days, with so many special exhibits and things to do,” said Mike Gallagher, co-founder and co-CEO of CityPass. “However, we’re exited to announce that the legendary wax museum, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, will become part of CityPass on Aug. 1.”
The new museum ticket will be added to the Hollywood CityPass booklet, which already includes tickets for the Starline Movie Stars Homes Tour, Red Line Behind-the-Scenes Tour, Kodak Theatre Guided Tour and The Hollywood Museum in the Historic Max Factor Building.
