VAX VacationAccess (VAX) recently unveiled enhancements to its website, including a simplified search feature for air travel, called Shop by Schedule, allowing agents to search for specific flights and modify flights to better accommodate upgrades and frequent flyer requests. A quick-glance layout of flight details with a cleaner format, more details available on a single Web page and side-by-side comparisons of bulk and published fares also help streamline the booking process.

VAX is also making it easier for agents to up-sell products such as travel protection, ground transportation and car rentals. Agents will see a more streamlined display to help them point out the benefits of each feature as they create a client’s trip and will get another opportunity to add a rental car during the checkout process.

“Agents asked for a more efficient and intuitive booking experience that gives them more control so that they can focus on what they do best — sell travel,” said Kathy Fitzpatrick, president of VAX. “Agents asked, and we delivered.”
