The 2012 edition of Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music and Arts Festival features an impressive lineup of headliners from across the music spectrum.
Running from Sept. 1-3, the 42-year-old Labor Day weekend tradition showcases more than 100 familiar and up-and-coming regional and national musical acts as well as comedy, theater, literary and visual arts, dance, film and children’s programming.
For 2012, Bumbershoot’s main stage in Key Arena features two multi-act performances each day. Artists scheduled to perform there include groundbreaking alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction, jazz legend Tony Bennett, electronic phenom Skrillex, a hip hop double bill with Mac Miller and Big Sean, M83 and Awolnation, among others. Additional main stage acts will be announced in coming weeks.
“Every year we’re committed to present the most diverse festival lineup in the country,” said Chris Porter, programming director for the Bumbershoot's producer One Reel. “This year is no exception. From well-known marquee acts to emerging artists, there is always something for everyone at Bumbershoot.”
Tickets are all-inclusive. All festival offerings are included in the price of a single-day or three-day ticket, including main stage admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets for the festival are currently available at the discounted price of $110 for three days and $40 for a single day-specific ticket. Prices will increase throughout the summer with a final day-of-show price of $135 for three-day admission or $55 for a single day.
Platinum and Gold passes are also on sale for patrons who want the full VIP experience, including first-in-line admission to main stage performances and comedy acts, access to a hospitality lounge, merchandise and drink tickets, among other benefits.
Additionally, for the first time the festival is partnering with premier travel provider CID Entertainment to offer out-of-town patrons inclusive hotel and travel packages. Look for details on the festival website.
