The Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibition is being built on the 74-acre campus of Seattle Center.
Expected to open in Spring 2012, the museum will showcase the glass sculpting of famed Washington native Dale Chihuly.
Artwork -- including a comprehensive collection of glass, sculpture and other media -- will be displayed in both interior and exterior exhibits. The interior exhibit will highlight a wide variety of Chihuly’s work, while the exterior will feature his gardens and glass exhibitions, previously presented at venues throughout the world.
The exterior will also include a 40-foot glass house structure with Chihuly artwork flowing from the ceiling.
