Spring Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyo., is offering three different packages through spring 2011 that will appeal to both families and nature enthusiasts.
Ski Free Packages
With Spring Creek Ranch’s Ski Free Package, guests receive up to two complimentary lift tickets per day to hit the slopes at either Grand Targhee Resort or Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. This package is available from Nov. 29, through April 5, 2011, and is priced at $87.50 per person, per night, for a hotel room — a savings of more than 50 percent from normal rack rates. The rate is based on double occupancy and is exclusive of tax, resort fees, and gratuities. Holiday rates, as well as dates in February and March, may be higher.
Winter Wildlife Exploration
The resort’s Winter Wildlife Package offers a wildlife safari with Spring Creek’s on-staff naturalist, a half-day snowshoe hike, dinner at The Granary and a visit to Yellowstone National Park. Weather permitting; this package also includes a rare opportunity to enjoy a night of winter stargazing over The Big Sky. This package is available Dec. 15 through March 31, 2011, and is priced at $1,478 per person, per night. A four-night minimum stay is required, and rates are based on double occupancy. The resort fee, alcohol, taxes, and gratuities are not included in price.
Domestic Wildlife Safaris
Spring Creek Ranch also offers half-day and full-day domestic wildlife safaris that include sightings of indigenous animals such as bison, moose, bears, and wolves. Organized and led by the resort’s full-time, in-house naturalist, the safari takes guests through the majestic landscape of the ranch’s acreage, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. The excursions are offered at specific times from season to season when it is most opportune to observe young animals, animal courtship behavior, owl hooting, plant blooms and fall foliage.
