Spring will be a time of renewal for Grand Junction, Colo., with a variety of renovations taking place in the city’s lodging market. Improvements have already begun and will aim to add new amenities, repurpose underutilized space and make public spaces more functional and welcoming.
“Our lodging customer is looking for value, and that means getting the most for their travel dollar,” said Barb Bowman, division manager for the Grand Junction Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Our lodging properties understand the correlation between making improvements to their establishments and attracting guests who will become loyal customers; it’s an economic win-win for everyone.”
Grand Junction lodges that are undergoing renovations include DoubleTree by Hilton, Hampton Inn, America’s Best Value Inn, Wagon Wheel Motel, Fairfield Inn & Suites and Powderhorn Mountain Resort. Some are currently wrapping up projects while others are just beginning their renovations. Two new properties also opened recently in Grand Junction -- Candlewood Suites and Marriott SpringHill Suites -- adding to the new face of the city.
