By the end of January, Wyoming’s Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) had received over 20 feet of snow this season. For most of this winter, Jackson Hole has led the Rocky Mountain region for snowfall, and the area has experienced record skier days so far this season.
“The snow is really shaping up in our favor as we head into the heart of winter; pretty much assuring skiers and riders will find the snow conditions they desire well into April,” said Jerry Blann, JHMR president. “The new Casper lift and intermediate trail expansion has been received extremely well by our guests, and has been key in the way skiers move across the mountain. Even with the increased number of visitors, our guest service scores have improved significantly over prior years.”
Special events will also take place every weekend in Teton Village this March, including a banked slalom race March 1-3 for skiing and March 8-10 for snowboarding; live Music Under the Tram every Saturday; and Jackson Hole Mountain Fest, a premiere winter music event. The headliner for this year’s event, taking place on March 30, is the band O.A.R.
