During the month of February 2009, Museo Gallery in the village of Langley is staging an exhibition of street art entitled Outside The Lines. A group show of graffiti and "tagging," skateboard decks, tattoo art, posters and video projections, the compelling event opens with an artists’ reception at Museo on Sat., Feb. 7 from 5-7 p.m., and runs through March 1.
“Our intention is to blur the lines between public spaces, the home and the art gallery,” said Sandra Jarvis, owner of Museo, a contemporary fine art gallery that represents top local artists who are regionally and nationally known. “This show will challenge preconceptions of art, giving visitors a view into the underground world's take on some of these most original art forms.”
The opening reception with the artists takes place during Arts Walk, one of the many happenings that Langley visitors can enjoy during the first weekend of every month. Arts Walk is free and takes place from 5-8 p.m.
