Lehi, Utah, Hosts Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest

Oct 12, 2010

From Oct. 8-30, Lehi, Utah, is hosting the 14th annual Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest. The fall event has something for just about every member of the family. At Cornbelly Mountain, for example, active kids can romp around a farm-themed play area, racing down slides, climbing ropes and crawling through tunnels. Next door, at the Corn Cannons & Pumpkin Blasters attraction, adults and kids can play together, using specially made devices that shoot ears of corn and miniature pumpkins at targets.

Arguably the greatest draw to the festival, a 12-acre corn maze, includes bridges, spinning wheels and other challenging twists. The maze honors the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, and an areal view shows the Boy Scouts’ emblem embedded in the middle of the maze.

Separate from the main corn maze, the Fablehaven Haunted Maze, is complete with animatronics, live “spooks” and more scary surprises. The maze is a tribute to the Fablehaven book series that was created in Utah.

Younger children need not feel left out as there are plenty of activities designed expressly for them — the easy-to-navigate Kiddie Maze takes about five minutes to complete, and Kiddie Courtyard keeps younger children entertained with slides, bounce houses and more.

Farm hayrides, pedal kart racing, live music and country-style food will help keep the entire family engaged.

The festival is open from 4-10 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays (it is closed on Sundays). Ticket prices start at approximately $9.
