Mii Amo, a destination spa at Enchantment in Sedona, Ariz., is hosting a series of life-changing events this year and, in March, clients can celebrate the Southwest through photography and discover the five elements of adventure at the resort.
March 18-19, clients can attend Capturing the Light of the Southwest and join professional photographer Larry Lindahl for a slideshow of the Southwest at 7 p.m. in the Mii Amo Library on March 18. Lindahl will be available to discuss and sign his book “Secret Sedona: Sacred Moments in the Landscape,” featuring his field journal essays and photographs collected during 12 years of exploration.
On March 19 at 9 a.m., guests can sign up for a complimentary, three-hour workshop that will include an exhibit and presentation. The session will cover techniques on lighting and composition and will conclude outdoors, highlighting the beauty of Boynton Canyon through the lens; bring your cameras to gain the most from this unique experience.
Mii Amo’s Adventure in Everything event will take place March 24-27. Hosted by inspirational life coach, Matthew Walker, the three-night workshop will begin with a visual presentation that introduces the Five Elements of Adventure. Adventure in Everything takes five pervasive elements of exploring the world's highest mountain ranges and demonstrates, through photographic images and practical insight, how to translate the metaphor and experience adventure in our everyday endeavors.
On March 26-27 clients can participate in short workshops and private sessions to help them map out their lives and work with Matthew to develop a behaviorally specific plan to integrate the Adventure in Everything concept. Cost for the three-night journey begins at $2,505, and includes accommodations at Mii Amo, three meals per day, two spa treatments per day and complimentary activities, including red-rock hikes, mountain biking, fitness classes and cooking demonstrations.
