In anticipation of Memorial Day and the summer season, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Ariz., is offering families special vacation options. The Scottsdale Princess has many types of child-friendly activities as well as teen-friendly options. New to the resort, Bobcat Billy’s Clubhouse is a resort camp where children ages 5 to 12 can enjoy a rotating itinerary of themed days, crafts, photo and video safaris and sports, while feasting on food and treats. To entertain older kids, the “Hangout” features a private music room, a pool table and a plasma television.
The Fairmont also has special programs to accommodate parents or to entertain the entire family together. Parents dining out on Friday and Saturday nights at Bourbon Steak — Michael Mina’s take on a steakhouse — La Hacienda or The Grill can drop off their children at the Clubhouse for complimentary babysitting between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. The Sonoran Splash Pool Complex provides cabanas, waterslides, pool games and a pool butler serving guests refreshments and other amenities. Families can also stop by Freeze to cool down with ice cream or a smoothie before enjoying a family film at the drive-in movie theater.
To take advantage of all these activities, the Scottsdale Princess is offering special packages for the summer season. The Sip, Savor and Splash package begins at $159 per room, per night and is valid from May 14 to Sept. 22. The Playcation Family package starts at $179 and is also valid from May 14 to Sept. 22.
