Through Oct. 31, guests at Montana’s Triple Creek Ranch will be able to show off their fishing and riding skills with the new Selway/Bitterroot Fly-Fishing Package and the Horseback Adventure Package.
The fly-fishing package offers angling opportunities, with wilderness fly-fishing along the catch-and-release Selway River, which is famous for its cutthroat, rainbow, bull and steelhead trout. Accessible only by plane, this remote segment of the river guarantees quiet and privacy, and promises plenty of fish and wildlife sightings. Guests may also choose to simply hike in the tradition of the great American explorers. The package also includes an Orvis-endorsed Bitterroot River fishing expedition led by an expert Orvis guide who will take guests on a day-long float down the Bitterroot, East or West Fork.
The second package offers a true Western experience for adventurers on horseback. Guests spend a day fine-tuning riding and roping skills while exploring the ridges and canyons of the vast CB Ranch, which offers magnificent vistas of the Bitterroot Valley and abundant opportunities for wildlife spotting. Guests can also move the herds on a real cattle drive, and fly into the Selway Wilderness and ride among the mountains and rivers of northern Idaho. Privacy in this untrammeled land — along with wildlife sightings and amazing vistas — are guaranteed.
Whether fishing or riding, all essential gear is provided; and all meals, beverages, house wines and spirits are included. Accommodations are in newly remodeled log cabins, designed with Western luxury in mind. At the end of each day, guests return to the privacy of their cabin to unwind in front of the fireplace, relax with a couple’s massage and sip champagne in their hot tub. Guests also enjoy a nightly candlelit dinner in the Lodge’s award-winning dining room.
