Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa debuted 18 newly redesigned suites that include two Presidential Suites, eight Luxury Suites and eight Executive Suites. The suites are another step in the transformation of this classic desert resort, which recently completed a $35 million renovation that included bluEmber restaurant, the stylish R Bar lounge, a new lobby, enhanced guestrooms, refurbished spa, an Internet marketplace and Splashtopia, a water complex.

Boasting lake and golf course views, the revamped suites feature carved woods, crown moldings and French doors that open to outdoor patios. Each suite is outfitted with a living space that includes a variety of plush seating options, 42-inch plasma televisions and expanded wet-bars. Bedrooms offer premium mattresses draped in plush down comforters with cotton linens and bathrooms feature slab granite counter tops and millwork cabinetry.

Presidential Suites

For the ultimate Las Palmas getaway, guests can choose from two Presidential suites that offer expansive living areas, two bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms. Living areas in both suites include dining tables that can accommodate up to 10 people, executive desks and enhanced entertainment systems with plasma televisions, stereo and DVD player. Spacious master bathrooms include double-vanities. The ground floor Presidential Suite is decorated in a traditional California style with warm earth tones and rich woods throughout. Unique to this suite are a marble-tiled fireplace, breakfast nook, game table and kitchenette that staff can discreetly access for catered events.

Located on the second floor of the same building is the other Presidential Suite, which features a more modern design with an Asian flair. Simple furniture with clean lines is paired with graphic artwork, unique accessories and hues of greens and browns to create a fresh, contemporary feel. An extensive bar area is featured in this suite in place of the kitchenette/pantry. Rates start at $1,300 per night.

Luxury Suites

The eight one-bedroom luxury suites include living areas with leather seating, sisal carpeting and an executive desk. Spacious master bathrooms feature double vanities, granite countertops and separate tub and shower. The suites can connect to both a standard king guestroom and a double-double guestroom, making it a versatile option for families or groups of varying sizes. Rates start at $900 per night.

Executive Suites

The eight newly styled, one-bedroom executive suites are ideal for guests, especially families, seeking a more spacious living area. Cool hues of blues and greens welcome guests to these suites that are appointed with leather chairs, inviting couches and a dining area that seats four to six people. Interior French doors open to the master bedroom. Rates start at $850 per night.

Suite Package

In celebration of the new suites, Rancho Las Palmas is offering a Suite Package that includes accommodations in a one bedroom suite and daily breakfast for two at bluEmber restaurant. The package starts at $499 per night, which does not include taxes or a $20 daily resort charge. Rates are per room, per night, based on availability and are slightly higher on weekends. The package is not valid for groups, holiday weekends or in conjunction with any other offers and is good now through May 5.

Rancho Las Palmas is located in Rancho Mirage, Calif., on 240 acres dotted with palm trees, tranquil lakes, gardens and fountains. It is directly across the street from The River, a dynamic entertainment, dining and retail area.
