Pan Pacific Seattle Introduces Spa Package

Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle has taken the wraps off a new spa package that promises to indulge and relax its guests.

Called Calm, the package comes with overnight accommodations, a choice of Ayurvedic massage options, breakfast for two and an Ayurvedic aromatherapy kit to invigorate the senses.

At Vida, treatments are customized to meet the needs of each guest and designed to restore energy and promote well-being. The Ayurvedic massage starts with the application of generous amounts of warm sesame oil over the body with extra attention to the head, neck and scalp. This technique optimizes the body’s systems, mobilizes joints and enhances tissue suppleness.

Following the warm oil application, guests who select the Swedana massage are cocooned inside a comforting cedar steam box. Aromatic herbs are customized to the guest’s needs to cleanse and detoxify the system. A dry-flour brushing of the entire body both stimulates and exfoliates skin to prevent the re-entry of toxins.

The alternate treatment option for the massage is the Shirodhara, which begins with a steady stream of warm oil flowing over the third eye to awaken the senses and bring increased mental clarity. This treatment is a perfect option for guests who need to reduce their stress levels or rejuvenate after a long flight. The slow rhythmic sensation of the oil is a unique sensory experience that creates a state of profound relaxation.

Package rates start at $499 per night through the end of 2011.
