Clients can book rollicking search party games in hip downtown Seattle locations courtesy of a creative company called Run Brain Run. Already known in the Emerald City for its fast-paced hunt-based games for groups, teams and corporations, Run Brain Run is now introducing Search Party scavenger hunts for individuals, friends and families.
Starting June 2, leisure travelers can get in on the action from Run Brain Run that until now has been reserved for private groups. Fun-seekers can sign up and meet at the designated place and time -- alone or with friends -- and commence their ultra-secret mission.
"Why watch The Amazing Race when you can play it yourself?" said Run Brain Run founder David Schargel. "Get into your own game." Players can compete with -- or against -- their friends or, if they arrive solo, they are matched up with brand-new friends.
Seattle Search Party events take place at several locations:
• Seattle Art Museum: First Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. (June 2, July 7, August 4, 2011).
• Pike Place Market: First Saturdays at 11 a.m. (June 4, July 2, August 6, 2011).
• Seattle Center: Third Saturdays at 11 a.m. (June 18, July 16, August 20, 2011).
Special introductory rates are currently being offered. Online tickets are $12 per person with a free online coupon for up to four people (over 50 percent off the $25 regular price).
Advance ticketing is strongly recommended, but walk-ups are welcome if tickets are still available.
