Stoneycrest Cottage Opens at Red Ridge Farms

Jun 29, 2010

With the opening of Stoneycrest Cottage at Red Ridge, wine lovers now have another option for staying off the beaten track in Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine region. The two-bedroom two-bath luxury cottage overlooks vineyards in the heart of the Willamette Valley and offers guests a rural retreat within minutes of 200 wineries, gourmet dining and pastoral hamlets.

Red Ridge Farms -- which features 15 acres of specialty plants and lavender, olive groves and vineyards -- also offers accommodations in the Red Ridge Guest Suite, an apartment located over the garden shop.

Sleeping up to four guests, Stoneycrest Cottage at Red Ridge comes with a fully equipped kitchen stocked with coffee and tea; living and dining rooms; a wrap-around porch with valley and vineyard views; washer and dryer; air conditioning; and two televisions with Direct TV and DVD players. The rate of $350 per night drops by $50 when clients stay four or more nights.

The one-bedroom Red Ridge Guest Suite sleeps two guests and comes with a full kitchen, dining room, lounge with TV/DVD and stereo, and two large decks ($200 per night).

Red Ridge is owned by the Durant Family, who planted their first vineyard in the Dundee Hills of Oregon in 1973, and many of the original vineyards continue to flourish and produce grapes today. In 2001, the family opened Red Ridge Farms, an herb and specialty plant nursery featuring one of the largest olive groves in Oregon. At their new Oregon Olive Mill, olives are processed into oil using olive varietals grown on site. The Oregon Olive Mill also houses an event space with a patio overlooking the Willamette Valley, ideal for corporate and private gatherings.
