As one of the five original buildings opened as part of The Broadmoor Resort in 1918, Southlake represents a historical moment in the community of Colorado Springs, Colo. Recently, The Broadmoor has announced that a series of Southlake’s favorite rooms and suites will be undergoing an enhancement.
Looking to maintain its historical appeal but add a new and distinctive air, additions to Southlake will include balconies, a new entry foyer, lighting, carpeting and furnishings.
“Our history is one of our greatest assets,” said Dennis Lesko, vice president of marketing. “As we continue to be great stewards of what Spencer and Julie Penrose envisioned for The Broadmoor in 1918, we also know the expectations of our guests. This enhancement of Southlake is consistent with the look and feel of our grand resort while offering the amenities and service today’s traveler has come to expect.”
Construction began this February and is slated for completion in early spring of 2012.
