On Nov. 6, AAA announced that The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, Texas has earned the coveted 2010 Five-Diamond Award in its first two years of operation. The 218-room hotel debuted in late 2007 and is one of only 113 hotels in North America to receive AAA Five Diamonds Award for 2010.
“The AAA Five-Diamond award is a truly worthy tribute to the ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas,” said Roberto van Geenen, general manager for the hotel. “To be granted this rating within the first two years of operation is a particularly special honor, and it inspires all of us to continue raising the bar for this vibrant region.”
Dallas is the only city in Texas to earn AAA Five-Diamond hotel status for 2010. It is also the only hotel in the U.S. to be featured on all three Conde Nast Traveler Hot Lists for 2008, including hotel, spa and restaurant categories. Furthermore, it is currently ranked the #1 hotel in the U.S. by the 2009 Zagat Survey of North American Hotels, Resorts and Spas.
The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas is also host to famed restaurant Home to Fearing’s, ranked America’s “Best New Restaurant” by Esquire Magazine in 2007, and the nation’s top hotel restaurant by Zagat Survey in 2009.
