Wave Crest Hotels and Resorts and Hilton Worldwide have appointed Robert Moore to general manager of the new Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa. The newest property in Carlsbad, Calif., is currently under construction and scheduled to open in spring of 2012. In his expanded role, Moore will oversee the opening and management of the new property and continue to serve as the general manager of its sister property, the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach.
“Bob has done a tremendous job leading the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad in his 11 years at the property,” said Bill Canepa, CEO of Wave Crest Hotels and Resorts. “His leadership, vision and commitment to excellence will be a great asset in the opening of our newest property overlooking Carlsbad State Beach.”
Working for Hilton Hotels since 1983, Moore served as the opening general manager for the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad. Under his leadership, he and the hotel have both received numerous awards and accolades from Hilton Hotels, including General Manager of the Year, Hotel of the Year and Highest Team Member Satisfaction Awa
