From Nov. 10-14, the Israel Ministry of Tourism hosted the annual American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) Destination Expo. The four-day conference welcomed more than 200 U.S. travel experts in Israel for a week of learning sessions and workshops. Attendees learned about the destination’s offerings via exploration of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, as well as through connecting with local suppliers and vendors, and receiving first-hand training from local experts.
During the expo, ASTA president Zane Kerby introduced Amir Halevi, director-general for Israel Ministry of Tourism, who shared remarks about the state of Israel’s tourism industry, which has seen a 10% increase in entries in 2019.
