At the end of June, Tahiti Tourisme held a media reception in Los Angeles to educate attendees about the Islands of Tahiti. Guests enjoyed cocktails and small bites during a two-hour sunset sail out of Marina del Rey with destination representatives and hotel, airline, cruise and tour operator partners.
The tourism board is working to expand its market focus from honeymooners to reach a broader audience; attendees learned about the range of adventure and cultural experiences that the islands offer, such as jumping off Maroto waterfall, climbing the caves of Rurutu, staying at a Tahitian Guesthouse or learning how to make a traditional tapa cloth.
