Avoya Travel recently completed its 2022 Avoya Conference on Celebrity Cruises’ newest Celebrity Beyond. The in-person event, which took place earlier this month from on Nov. 8-13, was the second part of a conference that began virtually on Oct. 18-21. The earlier teleconference portion emphasized brand education, while the onboard portion highlighted interpersonal networking and collaborations among the Independent Agencies in the Avoya Travel Network, as well as Avoya’s preferred suppliers and support staff.
Celebrity Cruises
Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president of sales, trade support and service for Celebrity Cruises, was on hand for a keynote address, as were other presenters in the cruising community, including representatives from AmaWaterways, Oceania Cruises, the Globus Family of Brands, Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruise Line and more.

Travel Leaders Network
Another highlight from the Avoya conference was the company’s newly announced affiliation with the Travel Leaders Network (TLN) marketing hub. As a result, the Avoya Network now has access to many marketing resources.
Of particular interest to attendees was the upcoming launch of the network’s participation in TLN’s Agent Profiler program. Independent Agencies in 2023 will receive an 80% commission split on leads generated through the program.
New Tools and Technologies
As for other fresh tools and technologies that are now available (or soon will be), Avoya outlined the following:
- An omnichannel marketing campaign that stresses the value of booking via expert travel advisors
- An updated version of the Avoya Connect app servicing a lead-claiming and communications hub to Agent Power (Avoya’s SaaS software)
- Avoya Appointment Leads, giving clients the means to set a preferred time window for being contacted by an Independent Agency
