Location and History

Raffles and adjacent, interconnected sister-hotel Fairmont, each occupy half of Qatar's most iconic modern building. Known as Katara Towers, the unique, cutting-edge building was commissioned by the Qatar government in preparation for FIFA World Cup that was held in Doha in 2022.

Constructed and owned by Katara Hospitality, the building looks like a set of massive bull horns, but actually represents the Qatari national emblem of two crossing swords.
