Location and History
Cara Lodge was built in the 1840s as two different houses—a manor home and servants quarters—that were merged into a single unit in the 1890s by G. B. Forshaw, who would later become the mayor of Georgetown. It was transformed into a hotel a century later, and has since hosted the likes of Mick Jagger, Jimmy Carter and King Charles.
