Location and History

This boutique-hotel is located just a few blocks uphill from Galata Bridge, which crosses over the Golden Horn to Eminonu district. The historic building was constructed in 1700 and served as a hospital for more than 150 years, making it one of the oldest buildings in Istanbul. In the mid-1800s it was converted into a traditional Turkish han, a travelers' inn, for many decades, and eventually became a hotel.
