Location and History

Located in the political heart of London's Westminster district, close to Trafalgar Square and the theater district, this grand Victorian brick and Portland stone building is tucked away off Whitehall and was the original Old Scotland Yard building of London's first Metropolitan Police force in 1829. Not surprisingly, a number of Jack the Ripper themes run through the hotel.
