Location and History

Tucked away in the heart of Virginia's famed horse country, amid the bucolic rolling hills just outside touristy Middleburg—an easy walk to the Red Fox Tavern and Middleburg's unique shops—an hour west of DC, this is a proper equestrian retreat built on the former estate of DC hostess and socialite Pamela Harriman. Black Entertainment Television's (BET) Sheila Johnson acquired the property and rebranded it as a Salamander in 2013.
