Location and History

Sheraton Grand Rio is located in its own private beach cove, just on the western end of Ipanema Beach, and is the only hotel in town to be on the same side of the street as the beach. The dramatic location is also at the base of famed Two Brothers Mountain, surrounded by near-vertical mountainsides. Small Vidrigal Beach below is also flanked by huge rocks and a rocky shoreline leading over to Ipanema.
