Run by a friendly Australian family, this breathtaking resort is perched on the hillside and consists of individual villas laid out on three tiers with gorgeous Petanu River Valley views. It is known as the Valley of the Kings, which is the inspiration for the Viceroy name.
Guests can reach Ubud by car (or free hotel shuttle) in about 10 minutes, though the helicopter pad out front leads one to believe the rich and famous choose a faster method.
