Reuniting with loved ones in a domestic destination tops travelers’ wish lists, according to the most recent study by Longwoods International.

Half of respondents say they will visit friends and family for their first post-lockdown trip. Of those travelers, 76% will take this trip by car, while 24% are willing to fly.

About half of the travelers planning to drive will head to locations within 200 miles from home, while the other half are willing to travel farther.

Most respondents (86%) plan to travel domestically for their first trip, while 4% aim to travel internationally. Only 2% are looking forward to a staycation, and 8% don’t plan to travel during the next six months.
