Global distributor and host agency InteleTravel has launched IntelePerks, a rewards program tailored for its network of over 100,000 travel advisors. The initiative aims to inspire best practices, continued education and increased profits for travel advisors.

IntelePerks operates on a straightforward premise: reward advisors for actions that contribute to their profitability. From attending training events and selling preferred suppliers to adhering to regulations and joining industry associations like the America Society of Travel Advisors and Cruise Lines International Association, advisors accumulate points that can be redeemed for an array of luxury goods, electronics and travel opportunities.

We've taken the loyalty and incentive idea from airlines, hotels and other suppliers and used it for the first time within a host agency operation.

"We've taken the loyalty and incentive idea from airlines, hotels and other suppliers and used it for the first time within a host agency operation,” said James Ferrara, co-founder and president of InteleTravel. “IntelePerks is certainly a new way to reward our travel advisors for their impressive work."

The program has been in development for several years and marks a shift in how host agencies support and incentivize their advisors. By integrating technology with rewards, IntelePerks recognizes and actively promotes the work advisors do that leads to higher sales and stronger partnerships with preferred suppliers.

"We have some of the top-performing advisors in the industry on our team and are constantly developing more ways to reward them for their hard work and loyalty to the brand," said Tara Minson, executive vice president and CMO of InteleTravel.

In a statement, Minson said that response to IntelePerks has been strong, with more than 17,500 advisors registering in just two weeks and more than 35 million points already awarded. In addition to their commission, advisor rewards range from jewelry and electronics to travel experiences.
