Northstar Travel Group, the leading global provider of trusted information and experiences for the audiences that drive the travel industry, recently announced several new editorial changes within its Retail Group of publications.

Industry veteran Theresa Norton has retired following a decades-long career in travel journalism. Norton served as Editor-in-Chief of AGENTatHOME, a monthly publication serving home-based travel advisors.

Emma Weissmann will succeed Norton as the new Editor-in-Chief of AGENTatHOME while maintaining her current role as Executive Editor of TravelAge West. Claudette Covey has been promoted to Executive Editor of AGENTatHOME, where she will work alongside Weissmann.

At TravelAge West, Kelly Rosenfeld has been promoted to Managing Editor, while Chelsee Lowe has been promoted to Senior Editor. Both have been identified as key contributors to the publication's editorial success over the past several years.

“The entire Northstar family will deeply miss Theresa Norton’s professionalism and experience,” said Ken Shapiro, Group Vice President and Editorial Director for Northstar Travel Group. “But these editorial moves will make the all the brands involved stronger. I’m so happy to see these excellent editors advance in their careers and I look forward to great things from them in the future.”

“I am lucky to work with Emma, Kelly and Chelsee everyday and see firsthand how dedicated they are to serving the TravelAge West audience of modern travel advisors,” added Mindy Poder, Editor-in-Chief of TravelAge West. “They are skilled editors, writers, content creators and ideal teammates, each contributing to the success of the brand. I am also thrilled for Emma to take the next step in her career as Editor-in-Chief of AGENTatHOME, where she will be able to share her many talents and leadership qualities with a new audience, while remaining a key member of the TravelAge West team.”

The company has also hired Leyla Sapic, who will work as Associate Editor across a variety of Northstar Travel Group publications, including both AGENTatHOME and TravelAge West. Sapic was formerly an intern at sister brand PhocusWire.
