Apple Vacations Partners With United Service Organization

What:
Apple Vacations has announced a new partnership with United Service Organization (USO), a nonprofit offering around-the-clock hospitality for traveling service members and their families. From now to June 18, travel agents can donate goods to the USO at their local airports to support traveling military members. In addition to supporting USO, Apple Vacations is offering several volunteer agent fam trips as part of the effort.

Why It Matters:
The new initiative is part of Apple Vacations’ Agents Give Back campaign, which offers travel agents across the country the opportunity to take part in numerous volunteer and donation opportunities. This program is a great way to give back while enhancing the public profile of all advisors and highlighting the role they play in the industry.

Fast Facts:
- Agents can bring toiletries, snacks, drinks and more to one of the 18 participating airports, including major cities such as Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Cleveland and Atlanta.

- In order to qualify for one of the fam trip opportunities, travel agents must fill out a detailed survey highlighting what they do to give back to their communities. While abroad, travel agents will donate their time to a noteworthy cause such as volunteering at local nonprofits or participating in community activities.

- Apple Vacations is orchestrating volunteer fam trips to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from Philadelphia and St. Louis in July, as well as Cancun, Mexico, from Denver and Chicago in October. An extensive beach clean-up in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, will also take place in October.
